What You Will Do
As a Bondroom Technician, you will ensure document accountability for jet engine parts, components, controls, sub-assemblies, support equipment tooling, and complete engines to meet audit and inventory requirements. Technicians perform periodic inspections on shop equipment, monitor and control calibration of tooling/equipment, consumable material usage, hazardous waste disposal, and shop towel program.
The salary range for this role is $24.75 - $41.06 an hour USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
This is a 1st shift position, as training will be required for the 1st shift within 1 year of hire. Then, there is the possibility of moving to 2nd shift, which would include a shift differential in pay.
Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Complete and maintain required paperwork in accordance with established procedures, including but not limited to work orders, tools, equipment, deviation reports, sign-offs, and logs.
Participate in and comply with requirements of ACE/CI programs, training, and activities to achieve company goals.
Perform routine maintenance of equipment.
Obtain and maintain licenses, operator permits, or certifications as required. - Prepare tools and equipment for shipping.
Handle and process hazardous material and its related wastes safely, and in accordance with approved documented work instructions.
Perform additional tasks in support of business objectives High school diploma, GED or equivalent experience. Strong computer skills required; Microsoft Office and SAP a plus
Qualifications You Must Have
High school diploma or GED required
Three or more (3+) months of work experience in a warehouse or manufacturing facility
Strong communication and organizational skills required.
Flexibility to occasionally work alternate shifts, work overtime, weekends, and/or occasional holidays when required.
Ability to lift heavy objects as required.
Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance required. Must be able to obtain required security clearances within 12 months and maintain clearance.
Experience with Microsoft Office
Qualifications We Prefer
1+ year of experience in production/tool control, warehouse inventory management, or the tear-down, build-up or inspection of jet engines.
Previous experience in Aerospace/ Military Aircraft
