Position: Manufacturing Documentation Specialist
Reports To: Manager of Manufacturing Engineering
Status: Hourly
Shift: Day Shift: Monday-Friday, flexible hours between 6:00 AM – 5:00 PM

BASIC WORKER FUNCTION:
Create and maintain clear instructions and documents that help employees with manufacturing, assembly, testing, and quality tasks. Make sure all documents are easy to understand and follow company standards and safety rules.
GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF
TASKS:
- Write and update work instructions, guides, and job aids for manufacturing and assembly.
- Work with engineers, supervisors, and production staff to get accurate information.
- Use photos, diagrams, or visuals to make instructions easy to follow.
- Keep all documents organized, up-to-date, and compliant with quality standards.
- Help employees understand and follow documented procedures when needed.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Able to explain complex tasks in simple steps.
- Detail-oriented and organized.
- Comfortable with Microsoft Office; experience with Adobe Acrobat or visual editing tools a plus.
- Can work alone and with teams.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Technical Writing, Manufacturing Technology, Engineering, or similar field preferred.
- 2+ years writing technical or manufacturing documents preferred.
- Experience in industrial, aerospace, or manufacturing settings a plus.
- Knowledge of document control systems or ISO/AS standards is helpful.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Sit or stand for long periods while using a computer.
- Use hands and fingers to type and handle office equipment.
- Good vision to read documents, blueprints, and diagrams.
- Occasionally walk around the facility to gather information.
- Lift or move documents or materials up to 10–15 lbs as needed.
